Welcome! If you are interested in participating in the Adrenal Stress Workshop, please read all of the details below and then purchase a spot in the workshop by clicking on the Purchase Now button below.
What is This?
This workshop is an effort by Dr. Griffiths to bring personalized learning about adrenal health and its role in leaky gut, anxiety, nutritional deficiencies and more to a broader audience through group learning. Due to the nature of this learning experience, space will be limited.
Key functions of adrenal testing and healing:
- Resetting sympathetic overdrive (fight-or-flight response, which inhibits parasympathetic rest and digest functions)
- Prevent undesired weight gain (cortisol dysregulation will store fat)
- Prevent fatigue / deliver sustained energy
- Prevent depression
- Regulate and create balance with thyroid and sex hormones
- Maintain intact intestinal barrier function
How Will the Workshop Work?
Each participant will receive a BioHealth Functional Adrenal Stress Profile (#201) kit in the mail. Participants are asked to return/submit the test within one week of receiving it. The results of the test will be returned to Dr. Griffiths for review. After reviewing all the results, Dr. Griffiths will break participants up into groups based upon the staging of Adrenal Fatigue. You will be notified about which webinar best fits your clinical presentation as well as the date and time of the live webinar. If you are unable to participate in the live webinar, a link to the recording will be made available and you will be provided an opportunity to submit questions prior to the live webinar.
What is the Cost to Participate?
Participation is limited, at this time, to those residing with (or able to receive kits within) the Continental U.S. Costs included are:
- $100 to Griffiths Functional Medicine for the reading of your lab results and preparation and providing of a webinar to provide findings and recommendations for improving your wellness based upon your laboratory outcomes
- $116 to BioHealth for the processing of your Functional Adrenal Stress Profile (#201)
What is the Functional Adrenal Stress Profile (#201)?
Functional Adrenal Stress Profile (#201) is a NON-invasive saliva-based test that measures cortisol at four points throughout the day as well as an average of DHEA-S across the day.
This profile is used to evaluate the adrenal glands and hormone balance. In the event of adrenal exhaustion, underlying causes must be determined through additional lab testing and investigation into environmental and lifestyle factors; while also supporting the adrenals with nutritional protocols and lifestyle modifications.
When the body is under chronic stress, pregnenolone, the precursor to all other steroidal hormones, is diverted to produce cortisol (known as pregnenolone steal or cortisol escape). This is to the detriment of all other steroidal hormones (such as DHEA and its metabolites, including progesterone, testosterone, and the estrogens). As pregnenolone is diverted to cortisol, DHEA depletion begins. The result is an elevated cortisol to DHEA ratio. A normal ratio is approximately 5:1 to 6:1.
NOTE: Adrenal Stress Workshop participants must be at least 18 years of age.
